We encourage families to make these decisions as part of their planning process. Once your decision has been made, we organize the details on your behalf so you can focus on what really matters — your companion.

Aftercare options

Following your meaningful goodbye, we understand how important it is that your companion is treated with great respect and care during this part of their journey. These last acts of kindness are entrusted to us and Gateway, and it is our honour to support your family.

In addition to the in-home pet euthanasia procedure, we organize the aftercare for your family. The details matter to you and they matter to us.

We also transport your companion to Gateway for their aftercare.

Your companion is placed into a communal chamber, alongside other beloved companions, and their ashes are scattered on a private farm in the Fraser Valley.
Your companion is placed in a private chamber and your companion's ashes are placed into a complimentary or other urn of your choosing. There are five complementary urns from which to choose. Your companion will be ready to go home within 5-10 business days. Your companion's cremated remains will be returned in your selected urn, along with a certificate of cremation, authenticating that your companion was cremated at Gateway Pet Memorial.
Some families are interested in additional services, including same-day pet cremation, private viewing, and personal transport of their companion. If there are some specific memorial wishes you'd like for your companion, we're here to guide and support your family along your journey.
