Commitment to care as a mobile vet

As a mobile veterinarian exclusively focused on in-home pet euthanasia, every interaction is an opportunity for us to show care and practice compassion, curiosity, respect and integrity.

We’re a bond-centred practice and deliver exceptional in-home veterinary care that extends beyond the medical treatment of pets. We focus on the human-animal bond and a Fear Free© low-stress handling approach. We hold each pet’s emotional and physical well-being in mind as we provide care. We can’t treat one without the other.

We deliver exceptional veterinary care that extends beyond the medical treatment of pets to consider their emotional well-being.

The human-animal bond

According to the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI), the human-animal bond is:

“A mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and animals influenced by behaviours essential to the health and well-being of both. The behaviours include emotional, psychological, and physical interactions of people, animals, and the environment.”

This bond is important because pets positively impact our emotional and physical well-being. By supporting your pet’s health, they can support yours.

In addition to providing veterinary medical care, Mulberry Lane places a focus on the attachment you have with your pet and considers their emotional well-being, not just their physical well-being.

Our practice fully appreciates the science behind the human-animal bond.

Our in-home veterinary experience is focused on compassionate, empathetic and respectful care.

Benefits of a Fear Free©
in-home appointment

It’s important we meet your pets where they are — in the comfort of their own home — and interact in a way that allows them to feel safe in a familiar environment.

By using a Fear Free® approach and low-stress handling techniques, we have calmer pets which improves quality of care by reducing fear, anxiety and stress (FAS).

You can feel relief and be more relaxed knowing your pets are having a low-stress veterinary appointment.

We practice a Fear Free® approach

A Fear Free® approach helps to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. It’s founded on the science of behaviour and backed by leading experts in the areas of veterinary behaviour, medicine, and handling.

Mulberry Lane safeguards the emotional well-being of your pets while providing veterinary care. We take into consideration where your pet is emotionally and will proceed appropriately. This allows us to create a more positive experience for you and your pet.

Meeting the bonding needs of pets, caregivers, and families.
